Mr Patrick Tay

Executive Coach, Pacific Pillars Consulting

Patrick specializes in executive coaching and retained executive appointments across Asia since 2003, serving entrepreneurial companies, especially those that are venture or family controlled, in diverse industries, including Financial Services, Medical Devices, Manufacturing, Digital Media, Agri-Commodities, Real Estate and Shipping. He has a keen interest in Family Businesses and often coaches the NextGen. He is also called upon to facilitate difficult family dialogues.

Patrick had worked previously for HSBC Singapore, the regional office of ABN Amro Bank, Strategy Consulting for PwC Consulting (East Asia) & Singapore’s Ministry of Finance’s Accountant-General Department. He started his career with Ernst & Young.

His corporate experience spanned across Asia. He had performed market entry studies, developed business cases, facilitated strategy discussions, conducted M&A due diligence, led merger-integration exercises, developed new products, managed operations, launched marketing campaigns, raised funds and led value-for-money reviews across government agencies.

Mr Dennis Foo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of a home-grown company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange,  conducts his business with global customers.  Mr Foo has  more than 25 years of industrial experience in the manufacturing, design and engineering industries and attained his Masters In Business Administration post-graduate degree in 2004.

Mr Foo led his company to her first Patent (technology) grant, ISO9002 and ISO14001 quality systems certifications as the management representative, implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Resource Planning system.  Mr Foo excels in customer relationship building through adequate communication, timely deliverables and problem-solving results.

Married for 25 years with two  children, the 52-year old Mr Foo also volunteers his time at various organizations and societies such as PSB Academy, NTU Alumni Club and NTUC Youth Career Network.  As a member of the company’s Senior Management team, he continues to reel in multi-million dollar sales revenue for the company and intangible business opportunities, with a focus on continual business growth direction for the next decade.

Mr Leon Lim (SOH, Class of 2013)

Freelance Host and Singer 

Mr Leon Lim has close to five years of experience as a school teacher. He is also a freelance curriculum developer at a tuition centre and a private tutor. Leon also does hosting and singing gigs from time to time.

To ease the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on his education business, Leon successfully converted his classes online. He has also been invited to conduct a few virtual hosting and singing performances during this period.

Ms Daphne Ong (SOH, 2014)

Program Director/ Career Coach, BestTop Consulting

Ms Daphne Ong has a rich corporate experience in the banking industry. As a Programme Director at BestTop, she oversees the project management and operations team. She is also a Professional Career Coach, accredited by International Coach Federation.

To date, Daphne has helped more than 100 individuals flourish and live their best. She is known for her ability to empower, guide, and support rising professionals to achieve their goals.

Mr Eric Zhang (RSIS, Class of 2016)

Mr Eric Zhang graduated from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University  and is currently the Head of Business Development at TalentLink, responsible for establishing corporate relationships with business partners. He runs a personal photography studio and his passion and interest lies in arts, entrepreneurship and career coaching. 

Mr Roderick Chia (EEE, Class of 1998)

Mr Roderick Chia is the Founder of rodVENTURE, an entity involving innovation, entrepreneurship, education and investment. Prior to being the Managing Director and General Partner for IDM Venture Capital, Roderick spent more than 5 years in the online gaming industry at Infocomm Asia Holdings assuming the role of Chief Technology Officer and Vice President for Strategic Projects and realised huge profit for the company.

Roderick led his management team into a series of entrepreneurial ventures. In 1999, Roderick and his team founded Postkid and grew it into a phenomenal success. He was awarded a finalist for the Phoenix Award in recognition of his entrepreneurial determination and strong leadership skill.

Roderick is also the co-inventor of the patented RIDN technology and was conferred the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award, for the fifth time. A keen educator, Roderick speaks on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at various tertiary institutions and forums, and was a judge at the competition. He is also serving on the steering committee for the Innovation Programme organised by the Gifted Education Branch of Ministry of Education (MOE). Roderick is currently appointed to serve on the School Advisory Committee for South View Primary School.

Ms Ong Yein Sze (NBS, Class of 2019)

Ms Ong Yein Sze has over 10 years of hands-on experience working in global and regional innovation teams across various well-loved consumer brands.

Yein has spent most of her career helping organisations enhance innovation and go-to-market capabilities.
